Free Being Me inspiration

Having recently commencing Free Being Me with the Junior Guides and getting ready to begin with the Guides, i've had fun researching ideas and looking for inspiration. I've linked to a few favourites below. Some of these may not be appropriate to show your Guides depending on their age.

• For their Take Action project, Charleville Girl Guides created cardboard cut-outs of themselves with body confident messages to display in their local schools.

• Malahide Brigin Guides created a song to the tune of 'All About That Bass' and posted it on Youtube to spread their message that beauty is on the inside.

• The Girl Guiding UK badge, Go-For-It! Life Wise, has great ideas - especially on pages 2-11.

• Dove Evolution video showing the amount of work done on a model and then further manipulated through photoshop.

• Design an advert for a friend, listing what qualities are most important to you, using the Go Girl challenge from Girl Guides Australia (page 34).

• #LikeAGirl video by Always.

• Guides in Scotland host an inspiring Free Being Me exhibition as their Take Action Project.

• With your Patrol create a list of the ten most important commandments of friendship, also using the Go Girl challenge (page 34).

• Of course, there are also the stories from all around the world published on the official Free Being Me website.
